Trader Joe's Kung Pao Chicken

The pros:  Trader Joe's Kung Pao Chicken has savory dark meat chicken served with some veggies and a medium heat sauce. This bag was mostly chicken and light on the veggies.

The cons:  Two packets of sauce were included. Not really sure why they couldn't have put it all into one packet. Meat is a wide range in sizes which lead to some uneven cooking.

The verdict:  For $4.99, you'll be hard pressed to find this much chicken at that price. If you enjoy Kung Pao Chicken in a restaurant or your local take out, you will likely enjoy this. This rounds out a decent sized lineup of Asian frozen entrees.

Would I buy this again? Trader Joe's Kung Pao Chicken is a maybe for me. It was tasty, but I preferred the taste of Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken and it's vegetarian counterpart better. This was closer to medium heat. It would be best served with rice. It's something you try once, or if something you've had in Chinese takeout and enjoyed, then you'll probably like this. Be warned, if you are looking for white meat chicken, this is all dark meat. It was a quick dinner ready in about 20 minutes which is about how long delivery would take anyway.
