The pros: Trader Joe’s Tzatziki Dip is a pretty good refrigerated dip that is a hybrid of a Tzatziki sauce and a cucumber salad. Amazingly, the cucumbers were still very crisp.
The cons: Has a lot more cucumbers than I was expecting, so it might not be for everyone.
The verdict: We eat a lot of chips in my household, but not so much on the dips and salsa. I grabbed this because I knew I would enjoy it (cucumbers aren’t a thing my husband enjoys). When I go to my local Greek Restaurants I’m always the one asking for extra tzatziki every time.
When I opened this I expected some cucumbers. Rest assured I was surprised (yes, I could have read the ingredients first and realized that that was the first ingredient, but I didn’t). This could pass as a cucumber salad. It had thin slices of cucumbers that lost none of their texture. I was expecting them to turn into mush. Magically they weren’t. The tzaziki was on point with all the familiar flavors. This just had a lot of added texture with the additional veggie. And yes, a few tablespoons of this over some lettuce or tomatoes will give you a salad plus the dressing. This would be a nice cooling flavor with some spicy food too.
For $3.49 for a low fat and reasonably low calorie snack I would absolutely buy this again. However, if cucumbers aren’t your thing then absolutely skip this.

Would I buy this again? Yes, I would buy Trader Joe’s Tzatziki Dip again even to use it as a salad dressing or dip, it just tasted good. However, it can pass as an almost cucumber salad. So if you don’t enjoy cucumbers, then feel free to skip this one.
