This Mary Pickford Cocktail recipe is a rum based cocktail but full of cherry flavor. It yields a deliciously balanced and sweet cocktail that will have you looking into the forgotten cocktails of the Prohibition Era.
Print Recipe

  • 3 Maraschino Cherries
  • 2 ounces rum
  • 3 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 splash grenadine
  • Maraschino Cherries optional garnish

  • In a cocktail shaker add 3 Maraschino cherries and muddle
  • Add ice to cocktail shaker and then add rum, pineapple juice, and a splash of grenadine
  • Shaker until cocktail shaker is very cold and frosted on the sides. About 20-30 seconds.
  • Optional-Add maraschino cherries and garnish. Sip and Enjoy!

Here are my best tips for making this drink:
  • Always use high quality ice when making a cocktail
  • You can use Maraschino cherries or Maraschino Cherry Liqueur if you have it
  • You can use white rum or gold rum in this recipe, however skip the dark rums or aged rums as they don't lend a great flavor here.
  • If you shake this enough, it will develop a foamy like head to the drink.
