The pros:  Trader Joe's Soft Handmade Pretzel is everything you would hope for in a big soft pretzel...

The cons:  ...except for the salt (but that is a matter of preference). This big pretzel is four full servings if you are counting calories, be sure to share with someone. However, it should be noted that if you are truly missing the salt you could add Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel Seasoning and have an everything pretzel. Just saying.

The verdict:  For $1.99 I can see picking this up on a regular basis. I do recommend however heating this up for that fresh warm pretzel taste. I baked mine at 250F for about 5 minutes. It's all the soft pretzel taste that so many of us look forward to when we are at an sports event. As mentioned previously there is no salt on the exterior and there is no little bag of pretzel salt included so plan accordingly. I found it didn't need it. It had all the soft pretzel taste I was looking for. Slightly warm it was delicious.

Would I buy this again? Oh yes. Trader Joe's Soft Handmade Pretzel is a tasty snack. Best of all you don't have to pay the high price of admission at your local stadium and pay out the nose for one of these. If you aren't crazy about the fact that there is no salt on this, the consider adding your own salt or some melted butter with some Trader Joe's Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning.

640 calories in a pretzel? I don’t think so, I don’t care how good it tastes!

Hey Bruce! I agree! Fortunately, I haven't seen the homemade one on shelves lately, but this one is pretty darn good (less calories) and worth a try if you haven't already: https://www.becomebetty.com/trader-joes-big-soft-pretzels/

Hope that helps & thanks for stopping by!
