What is Trader Joe's 5 Cheese Greek Spiral?

Trader Joe's 5 Cheese Greek Spiral is a frozen pastry that combines layers of buttery phyllo dough with a filling of five distinct cheeses: Gouda, Kasseri, Kefalotyri, Blue Cheese, and a semi-hard cheese. Each bite offers a perfect blend of savory and tangy flavors, wrapped in a flaky, golden crust. Priced at $4.49 for a 14-ounce package, it serves approximately three people and makes for a versatile dish that can be enjoyed as a snack, side dish, or even a light entree.

Taste and Texture

The taste of the 5 Cheese Greek Spiral is rich and satisfying, with each cheese bringing its unique flavor to the table. The Gouda and Kasseri provide a mild, creamy base, while the Blue Cheese adds a sharp, tangy note. The phyllo dough is crispy and light, shattering beautifully with each bite. However, the cheese filling tends to settle towards the bottom of the spiral during baking, so expect a more concentrated flavor at the base. The overall experience is indulgent, making it hard to stop at just one serving.

I have walked by this product dozens of times. I've have always been so afraid to buy it because I would want to eat the whole thing in one or two sittings. My name is Dagmar & I am a certified cheese-a-holic. I had thoughts of slicing it in half and making a turkey or smoked ham cheesy goodness sandwich-lol.
