The pros:  Trader Joe's Apple Cider Caramels are on shelves for the season and are worth a look for under $2.

The cons: I wish there were an option to buy a larger box of these as there are only four pieces of candy in them.

The verdict:  To me, this is the best time of year at Trader Joe's. There are so many seasonal items out. So many in fact, that this reviewer would have to give up her real full-time job to write reviews just to get to them all. So, I'm not getting to them all. At least not in a timely fashion. Here is one item that I first noticed at the checkout counter before leaving my local Trader Joe's.

Just recently, Trader Joe's just rolled out their fearless flyer and it was one of the featured item. They describe this as "top-quality caramel, which here is infused with apple cider and pieces of apple, generously covered in that same dark chocolate and finished with a white chocolate swirl." While I agree with most of their description, there is one item I was a bit unclear on: the pieces of apple. I did not detect any, but it didn't matter. This was delicious.

For $1.99, you are only getting a box that has four pieces in it. So at 50 cents each, these are worth the money. The chocolate is nice and thick and has a nice crunch when you bite into it. The caramel was nice and thick which had the flavor of apple cider infused in it. The white chocolate swirl was decorative and did not make much of a difference in terms of the flavor. These were well packaged and presentable. Best of all, this box only counts as one serving so there shouldn't be too much guilt in eating the whole thing.

Overall, I really liked these. They were high quality, flavorful, and embraced the fall flavor without being pumpkin. These are inexpensive and worth a try.

Here is the visual run down of what you get if you buy this product:

Would I buy this again?  Yes, Trader Joe's Apple Cider Caramels were tasty and delicious. It was a small box but seemed of high quality.
