The pros: Â Makes for a fantastic grilled cheese, seems more like real bread, very different from something like Wonderbread. Good taste for a white bread and good texture. Will keep on your countertop for about a week. Freezes well if you don't need it right away. It's Kosher, it's made in the USA even though it's called "Canadian."
The cons: Â No preservatives so don't expect a nuclear shelf life.
The verdict: Â For $2.69 you get a pre-sliced loaf that is well wrapped. If you aren't ready to use this right away it won't affect anything by throwing it in the freezer. It has good texture like eating a real loaf of bakery bread without the crunchy crust of a bread. It's a tender bread that is ideal for sandwiches, toast, and grilled cheeses. It's a nice yeasty bread that isn't as mushy as some white breads on the market. Good choice if you find your regular white bread is lacking in texture. I'd buy this again.
