The pros:  Trader Joes Chocolate Chip Brownie and Oat Bar is a tasty, chocolaty, high fiber bar
The cons: Â If you like the smooth texture of the "A (Fruit name) Walks Into a Bar" series, then this has the opposite texture. I found there was a strange after taste.
The verdict: Â For $2.49 you are getting six high fiber chocolate bars which are very pretty to look at. When you bite into this you get a lot of texture going on. The name accurately describes this as a mix between a brownie and an oat bar, much like a granola bar.
It has lots of texture from the oats and the chocolate chips. It will remind you somewhat of a brownie with chocolate chips. It's not on the same level of chocolate  as Trader Joe’s Sumatra Coffee Brownies, but these aren't 300 calories each. While there is fiber here Trader Joe's does a better job in the "A (Fruit name) Walks Into a Bar" series with vitamins and minerals.
If you need a chocolatey fix and want to feel full, this might be the bar to reach for.

Would I buy this again? Â Yes. It took some getting used to the texture of Trader Joe's Chocolate Chip Brownie and Oat Bars. I wasn't crazy about it after my first bar, but after having the second and third ones (not in the same day) these grew on me.
