The pros: Â If you like the taste of a calzone but want something with a briny center Trader Joe's Feta Cheese and Olive Tapenade Tarte should do the trick.
The cons: Â If you don't like olives, this might not be for you. I don't like olives at all and I was able to tolerated eating one piece.
The verdict: Â For $5.99 Trader Joe's Feta Cheese and Olive Tapenade Tarte is a great appetizer that will standout from so many others. This would compliment other antipasto options you might be serving. This will reming you of a underfilled calzone covered in sesame seeds. The sesame seeds added to the flavor here. This is a well thought out appetizer that is no more expensive that getting a calzone at your local pizzeria. It is very tasty and did not overwhelm me with a briny flavor. I enjoyed it and would repurchase this item.

Would I buy this again? This is a yes. While I like olives about as much as Guy Fieri likes eggs, I was able to eat this because it wasn't overpowering with black olives. There was enough cheese and bread to compensate and not overwhelm my taste buds. My husband who loves olives adored this and will polish off the rest of the tart in the next few hours. I'm not sure why they agreed to cut this into 11 pieces but it was adequately sized. Yes, this item is worth a try.
