The pros: Â Trader Joe's Feta and Onion Bites are bite sized appetizers that will remind you of a smooth and creamy French Onion soup bite.
The cons: Â Onions were caramelized using sugar as they were very sweet. They were much sweeter than anything I've ever caramelized. You can only use the actual oven to heat these. You'll also need a cookie sheet to place these on while they are in the oven.
The verdict:  For $4.99 you get 12 bite sized pieces. These are best served at room temperature. The cheese remains creamy at room temperature. Aside from the onions tasting unnaturally sweet, this was a pleasant appetizer to eat. It's another 3 ingredient appetizer that would be simple to make on your own if time wasn't a concern. They bake well and would be well received if you were feeding these to a group or just adding them to a plethora of other appetizers. It's worth a try once if you enjoy the bread, cheese, caramelized onion combination like that of a French Onion soup.

Would I buy this again? If I were having a party, I would add Trader Joe's Feta and Onion Bites to a list of appetizers I would grab from Trader Joe's. While not their absolute best appetizer in the freezer section, it was tasty. It's worth a try at least once.
