The pros:  Trader Joe's Garlic Potatoes with Parmesan Sauce is a tasty side dish ready as quick as 5 minutes from your microwave.

The cons:  Trader Joe's Garlic Potatoes with Parmesan Sauce comes in a bag that is not resealable.

The verdict:  For $2.99 this is a tasty bag of potatoes. It didn't look like much coming out of the bag. In fact I thought they were suffering from a bit of freezer burn since I had the bag a while. It had gotten shoved to the back of my freezer.

I needed a side dish we both could agree on and this was the lucky bag to get pulled out of the freezer. We were both hungry so we opted for the quickest way: the microwave. Thankfully potatoes are a very forgiving starch when prepared. After two and half minutes a more composed dish started to appear. After another two and a half minutes a complete dish appeared.

The potatoes had a sautéed tasted out of the microwave. The ingredients say they are fried. Either way the texture was good. The sauce was good. It was nothing like Trader Joe's Garlic Fries which could end a first date. The garlic was just enough with the cheesy sauce. It wasn't swimming in it and it wasn't dry. It was just enough to coat the potatoes.

It wasn't outrageously salty either. Overall, a good side that I've purchased and admitted that I was disappointed in myself for waiting so long to try this.

Would I buy this again?  Yes. Quick and easy side. There was enough garlic without it being overpowering. It was fine in the microwave, but I'm sure the other ways to prepare would be just as good if not better.

I love these. And much like the Roasted Potatoes with Peppers and Onions I like to mix in chicken sausage with some veggies for a more complete meal rather than just a side.
