The pros: Trader Joe's Island Teriyaki Beef Steak Tips are some of the most tender beef aside from Trader Joe's Filet Mignon.

The cons:  This product does have a strong vinegar tang which might not appeal to everyone.

The verdict:  My husband and I enjoy a good steak dinner from time to time. When it comes to marinades I get bored and then not bother because Trader Joe's does have such a vast selection. This is a new item that was recently featured on their website. The do leave off some information that is worth mentioning.

This was hands down the most tender pre-marinated meat I've had from Trader Joe's yet. It was fall apart tender right off of a hot cast iron skillet. It was melt in your mouth and don't bother with a knife type of tender. The flavors here are very assertive. While you have the flavor of pineapple juice, sesame oil, and ginger; the vinegar is also quite assertive. If you don't like a good bit of tang to your meat, you might not like this. The flavor has no problem making itself known too. However, even if you don't love a bit of tang, these steak tips are cut to perfection. I enjoyed mine with a side of rice, however veggies would work here as well.

This is priced at $9.99 per pound and was one of my favorite beef products that I've tried so far. It cooked quickly. In a hot pan you'll want to get this nice and brown as the marinade becomes more concentrated as the meat sears. They would also make for great kabobs, but mine only got as far as a plate from the skillet. Overall, this was a hit in my household and I look forward to having this again.
