Trader Joe's Marine Radiance Set is the kind of seasonal beauty bundle you grab because the packaging looks spa like and the price is right. For twelve ninety nine, you get a three step routine that includes a dry brush, a body scrub, and a body oil. The idea is simple. Brush before showering, scrub in the shower, and apply the oil after you towel off.

Not all three steps landed for me equally, but two out of three made this set feel like a very nice holiday treat. One product, in particular, is genuinely impressive.

The Marine Radiance Set includes:

  • A dry body brush
  • A fine grit exfoliating body scrub
  • A fast absorbing body oil

The theme focuses on sea inspired extracts, lightweight oils, and a routine meant to leave the skin smooth, soft, and hydrated.

The Dry Brush

This was the one item I did not enjoy. The bristles felt extremely firm, almost scratchy, and were harsher on my skin than I prefer. Dry brushing should feel stimulating, not like you are exfoliating with a yard tool. If you have sensitive skin, this may not be a comfortable step.

The Body Scrub

This was a pleasant surprise. The texture is fine, smooth, and easy to spread. It exfoliates without scratching and leaves a soft, hydrated finish on the skin.

The ingredient list explains why. The scrub uses sodium chloride and sea salt for exfoliation, but the grains are softened by mild surfactants and hydrating ingredients. Glycerin and sunflower seed oil help lock in moisture. Perlite adds a soft powdery grit that prevents the scrub from feeling too harsh. Niacinamide offers skin brightening and barrier support, while sodium hyaluronate helps draw water into the skin so it never feels dry afterward.

The marine inspired extracts, including golden seaweed, algae, and sea fennel, give it a light spa feel. Menthol adds a cooling effect but is very subtle and the fragrance profile aligns with the body oil, which makes the two work beautifully as a pair. And as an added bonus, it's blue lending to the marine theme.

Overall, the scrub is gentle, hydrating, and leaves skin polished without irritation. It is a very solid product on its own.

The Body Oil

This is the star of the entire set. The body oil absorbs almost instantly, with no greasy residue and no heavy slip. It leaves the skin soft, smooth, and lightly glowing.

The formula says a lot. Safflower oil and sunflower oil are lightweight, fast absorbing oils. Isopropyl myristate and isododecane give that dry touch feel similar to luxury dry oils. Caprylic capric triglyceride adds a silky finish. Marine extracts like golden seaweed and algae add a touch of the fancy spa vibe. It performs like something far more expensive.

This is the product I hope Trader Joe's brings back as a standalone item, because it is outstanding.

FAQs about Trader Joe's Marine Radiance Set

Below is a list of frequently asked questions about this product

Is the scrub abrasive?

No, the grit is fine and soft, with a hydrating finish.

Is this set limited time?

Yes, it is seasonal.

Is the body oil comparable to high end products?

Yes, it performs like a dry oil from a luxury brand.

Final Thoughts

Trader Joe's Marine Radiance Set is a thoughtfully priced beauty bundle that delivers two genuinely good products. The dry brush was too rough for my skin, but the scrub was gentle and hydrating, and the body oil was the true standout. The oil feels like a luxury dry oil with fast absorption and a silky finish that rivals much pricier brands.

For twelve ninety nine, this set is a lovely holiday gift or self care treat, and I hope Trader Joe's considers bringing the body oil back on its own.
