The pros: Â Trader Joe's Milk Chocolate Covered Dry Roasted and Salted Virginia Peanuts are very addicting.
The cons:Â In my household, they are able to disappear quicker than Harry Houdini or David Blaine.
The verdict: Â
It's not often that I struggle to get a blog post done before my spouse consumes the subject. The first time I brought this home, I made the mistake of sampling this before photographing it. Needless to say another box of these had to be purchased. Once again, I made a dangerous mistake in my marriage: I shared food that I like with my husband. Whatever may have been left would not last another day. So another box had to be purchased. Figuring both of us had our fill of this product, I left this on my counter and meant to get to this post within 24 hours. Less than 12 hours had elapsed and the second box had promptly vanished with all but a few chocolate covered peanuts were left behind in a kind marital act of generosity.
Realizing that these were going to be both of our snacks of choice, the third time I knew evasive maneuvers had to take place in order for this post to be published. I hid them in a safe place where I knew he would never look or open. In my household that would be our electric oven. In any case, after photographing this they are back on the counter will likely not make it through the weekend. Because these are gooooooood.
This is a balancing act of salty and sweet. They manage to strike a phenomenal balance. The chocolate is very highly polished but will melt in your mouth promptly. The milk chocolate is sweet without being too sweet. The shape of these varies from shiny ovals to coffee bean-shaped. Regardless of the varying shapes and sizes, there wasn't one bad piece that I came across. There are reasons why it took so many attempts to get this post done. For $3.99 these are worth every penny. Even if you need to spend more time at the gym. They are really well done and they might rival your local candy shop too. For less than $4 for 10 ounces, they'll beat at least in the pricing department.

Would I buy this again? Yes. This item had to be purchased on three separate occasions in order for me to actually photograph them for this post. This is due to a certain spouse consuming them before I had a chance to finish this blog post. This package had to be hidden away and photographed without the my spouse's knowledge that these were in the house.
