Overall, 2019 has brought us quite a few sweet treats. This is pretty interesting considering I know I have a good number of my readers and friends who are low carb. So, I'm still wondering why Trader Joe's hasn't pushed harder on the low carb front. But nonetheless, there must be a good amount of people out there who have solid sweet tooths. If you are buying Trader Joe's Mini Gummy Bears on a Chocolate Pool Day is just another way Trader Joe's is appealing to those people.

Taste

So here is a completely average chocolate bar assuming you enjoy the combination of white chocolate and dark chocolate.

From the way it is packaged, it looks like a pool.

Remove said chocolate bar from the box and you have a normally shaped chocolate bar with both dark and white chocolate with gummy bears thrown in.

Instead of being cute floating gummy bears, they actually look like they need a life preserver or someone to pull them out of the "pool" as they look to be drowning.

Despite the appearance, the crisp bar and the gummies weren't a texture that had me going back for more.

There weren't many of the gummies and the chocolate just wasn't that great. It wasn't cheap chocolate, but there are some really good brands of white chocolate out there too. This was literally just average.

Overall

For $1.99 it isn't expensive, but there are better options out there for under $2.

Totally worth skipping this summer unless there is a kid in the household who would think this is the coolest thing ever.

Would I buy this again?  Trader Joe's Mini Gummy Bears on Chocolate Pool Day is a no from me. This is just a cute basic bar of chocolate. Nothing special here.

I actually LOVED this candy bar. I went back and bought 6 to stash away : ) I probably wouldn’t pay more than $1.99 though.
