The pros:Â Trader Joe's Organic Beet Strawberry Juice is organic and will be a beet lovers dream.
The cons: Â If you had any hopes of a strawberry flavor, you'll be wrong because the beet took over.
The verdict: Â Every now and again you come across a product that is instantly memorable. This is scarred into my taste buds for a along time. For $4.49 you too might regret purchasing this as well. While I was enticed by the color being a beautiful hue of red; the smell, taste and experience were all beet. Sadly, when I sniffed this for the first time, my first instinct was to hope it would still taste of strawberries.
Unfortunately, the nose knows. This tastes of beets with some lemon to brighten up the flavor. To my dismay the strawberry flavor was barely there. Even when I felt like I was tasting some strawberry, the beet overwhelmed my palate. If you love the taste of beets, this is a fantastic beverage selection. However, I grew up avoiding eating those finger staining veggies. Often the dog was my dinner time beneficiary of my portion of beets.
While I was are that beets were in this, I was hoping that they would play a more subtle role to the strawberry. In the past, Trader Joe's has offered some great strawberry drinks. Regrettably, this wasn't one of them unless you are a true beet lover. For this reason, I won't buy this ever again. Furthermore, the glass pictured ended up dumped in the sink and the contents of the bottle were dumped as well.

Would I buy this again? Â Nope, no, never. I'm not sure why they bothered to mention strawberry on here because this was beet all the way through.

The Trader Joes where I live was demoing this. I am not crazy about the taste either but it is organic beet and I will use it in my shakes along with tumeric, garlic, kale and other medicinal tasting stuff since I don't eat as many veg as I should. Much easier to choke it down in the morning knowing I've got the 'roughest' part of my day behind me! 😉

Your welcome! Here are some other suggestions to help get it past the tongue!
I started using a Nutibullet last year because I didn’t want to pay $4.99 for a 15 oz bottle of the fresh pressed stuff on the shelf.

I like Trader Joe’s because they have lots of fresh org fruits and vegetables. Their bags of org apples are a steal at $2.99 a bag. They also carry fresh org beets, shredded carrots, spinach, org bananas that work great in shakes.
A typical shake will be loaded into the Bullet in this order (softer stuff first):
A banana, spinach, fresh garlic cloves, fresh tumeric, fresh ginger,
Vit C powder (3 grams), hemp seeds, T.J.’s frozen Wild blueberries and/or frozen pineapple/or org frozen Mango) then doused up to the line with the grim Beet/Strawberry or much more tasty bottled Honey crisp juice. Just depends on what you are in the mood for!
The Vit C is especially important now because of the flu going around. Here is another link you might find of interest so you can get rid of it fast if you catch it. I take the C to prevent getting it. So far so good!

I stumbled upon this product a couple of months ago at my Joe's. I was tickled! While I really like beets, straight beet juice can be a bit strong. The strawberry added to the beet juice makes this a bit more palatable, still with the health benefits of the beet juice 😉 I would also add that the name implies 'beet' since it's Beet Strawberry juice not Strawberry Beet juice, jus' sayin' ...

Hey Petvs! Much agreed, I was just really hoping for a bit more of a balance with this. It has its own audience. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and share your thoughts!

I absolutely loved it and can no longer find it anywhere!

I'm afraid the beet-strawberry juice is still being produced. (No pun intended.) The review is spot on.
