Trader Joe's Pre-Sliced Mozzarella

The pros:  Trader Joe's Pre-Sliced Mozzarella Tasty, already  sliced, slices are a good size, enough salt to ensure tasty cheese.

The cons:  This is 12 ounces not 16 so plan accordingly.

The verdict:  For $4.99, this is an awesome Mozzarella to eat straight from the package. It's also good to cook with and melt. For $4.99 it's competitive with a lot of other grocery store brands. I've bought this several times and will likely buy it again before the week is over.

This cheese you can eat straight from the package, make a caprese salad, or make Spiedini Romano. If you don't know what Spiedini Romano is, it's basically similar to a grilled cheese but vastly improved due to an anchovy butter wine sauce.

Would I buy this again? Yes and Yes! However, be careful when shopping. Trader Joe's Pre-Sliced Mozzarella can easily be confused with another product, Trader Joe's Mozzarella Log, that I would say is not nearly as tasty and a pain to cut. It's good only for shredding and adding to pizza. In fact that is what I used to top Trader Joe's Organic Frozen Pizza Crusts:
