The pros:  Trader Joe's Baby Spinach and Cranberry Salad Mix is a tasty combination of flavors.

The cons:  Price, you are paying a premium here for a mix of components. The bag of candied pecans seems small and I wished there was more dressing.

The verdict:  For $4.49 you are getting a salad that can feed 3 people comfortably. You are also getting a tasty combination of items to toss into your salad. The package has 11 ounces of salad and toppings and 3 ounces of dressing.

The 3 ounces of dressing might not be enough for everyone. Three ounces is really only 6 tablespoons, so depending on how much everyone likes salad dressing will dictate if this will be enough. The dressing was light and refreshing with a touch of raspberry taste inside a well mixed vinaigrette. Each element is pretty good on its own.

The cranberries add a nice tart flavor, the candied pecans add sweetness and a nice textural element, however I was wishing for more of them. The blue cheese is there for some tang. As a combination this a lovely salad set. However, if you find that you like this flavor combination, you might be better off buying the individual components yourself.

The spinach is readily available for $1.99 and they sell a dressing that is much like the components found in this salad. It goes by the name of Trader Joe's Cranberry, Walnut, and Gorgonzola  Salad dressing. It's tasty too, but that will be a separate review. Overall, really good for a salad mix.

Would I buy this again? Trader Joe's Baby Spinach and Cranberry Salad Mix was good on its own. It's also a great way to try different salad combinations that I wouldn't have come up with on my own. I've bought the individual components to make a salad like this. In a pinch, I'd buy this again.
