The pros: Trader Joe's Blueberry Waffles are $1.99 and found in the freezer section. The blueberries are very subtle in flavor. They do crisp up when you follow the directions.
The cons: I was hoping for visual pieces of blueberry. There were none. They were a touch different from regular waffles in terms of color. No microwave allowed on Trader Joe's Blueberry Waffles. This item appears to be seasonal.
The verdict: If you are looking for the taste blueberries to your waffles this is a good choice, but not as good as homemade, but are decent for freezer waffles. The directions will give you crisp waffles. However, in terms of flavor, If you are looking for chunks of gooey blueberries to be present, this is not what you should buy. If you want true blueberry taste, then you'll need to add some blueberry syrup. The taste of blueberries on this were very subtle. Personally, I preferred the taste of Trader Joe’s other waffle flavors to this.
Update 10/15/17- Trader Joe's has brought back this item. The packaging has changed and I've included updated pictures. However, I felt the product tasted and looked very similar to what I had last year. There are some changes to the recipe and an adjustment to the calorie count. It still lacked much in the way of blueberry flavor and appearance. But for $1.99 they were decent enough for a morning breakfast..

Would I buy this again? To be honest, it didn't look like blueberry much nor did it taste like it. They were completely edible, but if you want to true fruit flavor with this add blueberry syrup. I had it with maple and the taste was subtle enough I could have missed the fruit flavor here. Can't beat the price at $1.99.
