In case you didn't have enough sweets and cookies and candies yet, I figured I'd cover this item before New Year's Day arrives when healthier eating seems in order. Yes, this is another example of a hybrid food much in the way a Cronut is a kinda donut and kinda croissant.
Taste
Yes, you are looking at brownie on the bottom and chocolate chip cookie on the top. Two items that you would normally prepare separately.
But when you put these two food items together you have something that is strangely delicious.
The brownie portion is moist and fudgy. So if you like a crisp brownie you can pass on this. This tastes a lot more like cake than a brownie crisp.
Likewise, the cookie has a similar texture meaning the two sweet treats seem less like two and more like one.
Now, the cookie that I got in this brookie wasn't heavy on the chocolate chips. Given the fact that the brownie is on the bottom, it really didn't need it or miss it.
So while this is priced at $3.99, there are 8 pieces in this box. Each slice is more than adequate for snacking or dessert.
Overall
Best of all, this did not show up as a seasonal item on my receipt. So if you are still in the spirit of indulging, then by all means consider picking this item up.
Would I buy this again? If calories didn't count, then yes, I'd have this again.
Did you try it? Let me know what you think in the comments section!

I tried this at the tasting station and was actually disappointed- the brownie part was great but the top cookie portion was too dry and maybe a bit stale. I’m not the customer for this, baked goods i either make myself from scratch or my mom does so that’s a factor here.
classicaljim says
Yes, the cookie part is dry and crumbly. Heating it up helps that part, but then there are neatness issues - it gets gooey if you're eating it with your hands. And they're kinda small.
becomebetty says
Hey Classicaljim! Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your experience. Sorry to hear yours was dry. Bummer. And I totally agree, they are very small.
