The pros: Trader Joe's Cheesy Trees are new, delicious, and full of cheese flavor.

The cons: This is a seasonal item. If you see them, then grab one (or a bunch) because they are already hard to find. A lot of my trees were broken.

The verdict:  If I had to pick a favorite snack food that wasn't chocolate, then my next option for snacks is always something cheesy. So I grabbed these not knowing what they were. I am so very glad I did and I wish I could find another box.

Trader Joe's debuted a super successful cheese product with the Oven Baked Cheese Bites.  I'm afraid to admit how many times my husband and I have purchased that. It has been our go to snack. While Trader Joe's Cheesy Trees are not as cheesy as those, they aren't shy of cheese flavor. I'd rather think of these as something closer to a seasonally shaped Cheez-It or Gold Fish cracker. Except I think these are way better.

These are far more cheesy in flavor and the ingredients reflect that. Cheese is the first ingredient. Best of all, if you are feeling snacky, then you can have 17 crackers for a serving of just over 100 calories. I wish Trader Joe's Oven Baked Cheese Bites were that low in calories. Regardless, if you can get your hands on a box of these, then they would be a beautiful addition to a charcuterie board. These would even be fabulous in soup, especially tomato soup. Some of mine were broken, but it did not matter. These tasted good regardless.

For $2.99 I wished my local Trader Joe's store had more of these. These are well done and delicious. If I could find them, I'd pick up another box.

Would I buy this again? If I could find this, then yes, I would buy Trader Joe's Cheesy Trees again. However, this time of year there are so many seasonal items that I see only once.

Lots of them in the DC-area stores. Would you like me to get a few boxes for you and mail them to you?

They would pair with dip. Theyre kinda like cheese its. Also maybe some meats they might pair well with too. Hope that helps!

@ Carol Dobyns Be careful if you want to serve these at a party. I don’t know if my box was an anomaly but I think I only had 3 or 4 intact trees in the whole box. They are very delicate and break so easily. That being said, they are delicious. They taste like they could be made from scratch.
