The pros: Â Trader Joe's Oven Baked Cheese Bites are crisp, tasty, cheese crisps that go well with soup, salad or just to snack on. Gluten free if you are concerned about that. Half a days worth of calcium.
The cons: Should come in a resealable bag to prevent you from eating the whole thing.
The verdict: Â For $2.49, this is not a big bag, but it's the ingredients that make this a bit pricey per pound. You are getting baked cheese bites and nothing but cheese here. It's cheese that is baked into the preset size and shape. With the moisture removed in the baking process you are left with a cheese bite.
They are crisp, salty without going overboard, and would compliment a number of items like soup and salad. There is a Parmesan taste to them. They are a perfect snacking size but the bag can't be resealed.
That's a shame too. Because once you start popping these, they are as addicting as having a bag of potato chips. I totally recommend these.
In the event they are sold out, check out my Trader Joe's Oven Baked Cheese Bites Copycat Recipe. If they are sold out and you aren't up to making your own, you can also get these through third party sellers on Amazon.com.
