The pros:  Trader Joe's Chocolate Mint Flavored Black Tea smells right away of chocolate which got me kind of excited for the taste. These Tea bags come with strings.

The cons:  Tastes like black tea with minimal flavors of mint or chocolate. Plastic packaging seems a bit wasteful.

The verdict:  For $1.99,  I would buy Trader Joe's Candy Cane Green Tea over this product. I was truly excited when I saw this. Some people love pumpkin season, I get excited when it's peppermint season. The smell of chocolate was outrageous when I poured the hot water into the tea cup. When I tasted it, there was no distinct taste of chocolate and only the slightest hint of mint. Disappointing. I'd pass on this one.

Finally, tea bags with strings. The plastic bag around the tea bag is unusual for most teas.

Would I buy this again? For me, Trader Joe's Chocolate Mint Flavored Black Tea is a no. I won't end up in the trash can, but I won't be looking to buy it again. It was a tolerable black tea that immediately set my expectations way too high. It smelled just like a hot chocolate being poured. What my tongue said was its black tea with some peppermint and only the faintest hint of chocolate. Even adding a splash of Trader Joe's Chocolate Peppermint Almond Beverage didn't help much to highlight or accent the flavor. It's drinkable but not noteworthy. Fortunately, this is likely a seasonal variety.

I loved this Chocolate mint black tea. It is no longer available at Trader Joe's. Do you know what company it is made by?

Hey Patricia! I wish I knew. Trader Joe's is notoriously secretive about who their vendors are. I'd reach out to them directly.
