Trader Joe's Gone Berry Crazy Review

The pros: Trader Joe's Gone Berry Crazy are the perfect addition to the freezer aisle. If you loved Gone Bananas! then this will probably be a hit for you.

The cons: Milk chocolate fans need not apply here. This product does have dairy in it so it is not vegan. The box is small on this as well. I'm deeply hoping this isn't a seasonal flavor.

The verdict:

Trader Joe's Gone Berry Crazy ReviewAh summer. It's finally the kick off to the summer season. Certain flavors are returning to Trader Joe's shelves. And there are finally some new items in the end caps to pick up.

This is tucked away in the freezer aisle in the same tiny box that the ever popular Gone Bananas! is. If you like simple ingredients, a reasonable portion size, mostly healthy, then that is the dessert to reach for.

Unless you like strawberries more than bananas. Then you have something to look forward to here.

Now, to be fair, not everyone is going to love this item. If you don't like or can't have strawberries then this is a strong pass. Also, this is made with dark chocolate. So if you are a milk chocolate fan, then perhaps you might want to skip this. Vegans and the dairy free might also find themselves disappointed here as well. Skim milk power is in the ingredients.

Otherwise, this is a hit. You get a reasonable size portion for 100 calories. It's sweet and mostly fruit. There is a thin coating of dark chocolate here.

I'm just shocked these did not come out around Valentine's Day. This past Valentine's day did not bring the return of Trader Joe's Fondue Au Chocolate which for me was a bit of a bummer.

Here the work is already done for you. These are frozen. They are smaller sized berries perfect for snacking. Each berry is about a bite. The only downside is the box is pretty tiny. Completely easy to sit and eat a whole box by yourself.

The packaging is equally as cute as the Gone Bananas! In place of a monkey we have a cute rabbit like creature with adorable striped ears and a red sweater that looks like the fruit beneath these chocolate treats.

For $2.29 this is a solid buy and a great addition to the dessert options at Trader Joe's.

Here is the visual run down of what you get if you buy this product:

Would I buy this again? Yes. I bought three boxes of Trader Joe's Gone Berry Crazy. If you like chocolate covered fruit then these are a good deal with little to no prep on your end.

I hadn't seen these yet. But I'm definitely going to Trader Joe's tomorrow and getting three boxes for myself just like you did. I love strawberries and dark chocolate.

They are new! These are one of a bunch of new items that just hit shelves. I got the organic air popped popcorn and the spicy cheese crunchies too. I haven't tried either, but they are on my list to get to this week. Oh, I also picked up the Rose toner 🙂 Thanks as always for stopping by!

Thank you for mentioning the skim milk powder. Often, dark chocolate IS dairy free.

I know! I thought they very easily could have made this a vegan item. I don't think the skim milk powder really added anything. Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and share your thoughts!

There's also the movie theater buttered popcorn and the olive oil popcorn which are very good and definitely worth a try.

Okay I just bought these Gone Berry Crazy strawberry pieces tonight. They are delicious but who are they kidding---- 4 servings per package????!!!! Maybe for the little bitty bunny on the box! More like 2 servings at best. Great value also. Dole makes a similar product that sells at about $4.50 a box for about the same size!

I know! At least there are a reasonable amount of calories in those four servings. And yes, 2 servings seem more realistic here. Glad you liked them too. And yes, good price on these. Thanks as always for stopping by!

I love these and eat them a lot but occasionally get a really bad tasting piece. It happens in about one piece out of every 2 or 3 boxes. Any idea as to what it could be. I am hoping its not a bugs!!!

Hey Kim! I think some strawberries can get bad spots or wonky. Trader Joe's would be a good one to reach out to. You can always get a refund if you get a bad batch. Give TJ's that feedback. The link is: https://www.traderjoes.com/contact-us/product-feedback
