The pros:  Trader Joe's Hearts of Palm Medallions comes in a resealable bag, would be a snack or on top of a salad if you like the flavor of hearts of palm.

The cons:  Bag splashes a little when being resealed so it was less than ideal.

The verdict:  For $1.99 you get a resealable bag that is filled with both liquid and palm hearts. I've never had palm hearts previous to this. So this was a new flavor for me. I wasn't sure if this was going to be sweet or savory. The best comparison I can make is they reminded me of artichoke hearts that are marinated you buy jar that are marinated except these are much firmer. If this sounds like an appealing combination then I'll say you should try it. If you this sounds revolting to you, then skip this. Once opened this should be stored in the refrigerator. I think some would enjoy snacking on this right out of the bag. Others might consider putting this on a salad as it seems it could be used in place of an artichoke. I wasn't crazy about the taste, but there are some real fans out there of heart of palm. So texturally it was firm and taste wise was ok. Worth a try if you are a fan of the taste.

Would I buy this again? For me Trader Joe's Hearts of Palm Medallions is a no. It wasn't a flavor and texture combination that I personally like, but that doesn't mean that you might not like it.

    Nice review!
I'm a fan of the texture and taste. But I understand why you would not like them though. Not for everyone!
I like to add hearts of palm to my salads and look forward to trying these out.
