Now that summer is upon us and new products seem to be much slower than the rest of the year, you'll probably see more products that from and the aisle that I'm realizing that I haven't gotten to enough: the health and beauty aisle. I think there are a lot of good items hiding in plain sight like Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub.

Testing this
Before the holiday season, Trader Joe's usually releases a scrub set. They've even had ginger scrub out too.
But in all honesty, my go-to used to be Bath and Body Works Sugar Scrubs.
They were divine. They left me feeling so moisturized.
But over time they've gotten smaller and seemingly more expensive. That's a pairing that I just don't love.
And while I loved how Bath and Body Work's left my skin feeling, I just didn't love the price tag. The jars now run about $16.50 and are 13 ounces. This jar from Trader Joe's is $5.99 for 20 ounces.
And guess what? My skin felt just as good as it did with the Bath and Body Works Product.
The salt is more of a fine grain as compared to the other scrubs I've tried at Trader Joe's. It also left my skin super hydrated.
But there is one thing that Bath and Body Works has to its advantage: variety.
At Trader Joe's this is the only aroma available. And the aroma in the shower seems pretty darn strong.
And lavender isn't quite my favorite scent on my skin. But for the price, I'm not going to complain. I may email Trader Joe's and ask them for other varieties.
But regardless, I can overlook it for the price and better value presented here.
Overall
If you love your body scrubs, then this is pretty solid. It's not coarse like some, but it will make your skin feel oh so hydrated.
Would I buy this again? Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub is a solid yes from me.

- Seems hidden away in the health and beauty aisle.
I got a jar of this as a gift a while ago, but it has been sitting underneath my bathroom sink. I'm not a huge lavender fan, but I might try it anyway since it sounds like it works well. It is certainly cheaper than some of the other scrubs I have used. Thanks for the review!
Hey Paige! No problem! I hope you try it and let me know what you think of it.
It certainly did it's job, and left my skin feeling smooth and soft. I'm not a huge fan of the scent but it doesn't linger too long once you're out of the shower. My only gripe is that it almost left my skin too oily. I had to use bodywash after just to feel like I wasn't a huge greaseball!
Hey Paige! Thanks for getting back to me with your thoughts. I found that after towel drying that lifted a good amount of oil. Thanks again for checking in!
I really like this, especially the price point. It’s as good as those 3x the price! I happen to like the lavender and don’t mind the strong smell but it would be wonderful if they sold a variety of scents
Hey Debbie! I totally agree! I have a whole list of scents I would love to see added. Maybe we will see something around the holidays. Thanks so much for stopping by!
I too loved the BBW sugar scrub but this one from Trader Joe’s is pretty amazing. It doesn’t irritate my legs post shaving either!
Thanks for sharing Christine!
