Priced at $5.99 for a generous 20-ounce jar, this scrub combines salt and nourishing oils to leave your skin feeling smooth and refreshed after each use. It's a budget-friendly option for those looking to add a touch of luxury to their shower routine without breaking the bank.
Key Ingredients and Benefits
This scrub is formulated with essential oils, including sunflower seed oil, which helps lock in moisture, while the lavender provides a calming aroma. The fine salt granules effectively exfoliate dead skin cells, making it a great choice for areas like arms, legs, and feet.
Ingredients:
- Sea Salt
- Sweet almond oil
- Sunflower oil
- Lavender oil
- Avocado oil
The blend of natural oils not only softens the skin but also provides a protective barrier, keeping moisture locked in long after your shower.
Frequently Asked Questions
The following are some commonly asked questions about this product:
Yes, the fine grain of the salt makes it less abrasive than some other scrubs, and the natural oils help to soothe and hydrate sensitive skin.
Currently, lavender is the only scent available year round, though Trader Joe's occasionally releases limited-edition varieties during the holiday season. Keep an eye out for new options!
It is not recommended to use this scrub on your face, as the salt and oils may be too harsh for facial skin. It's better suited for body exfoliation. If you are looking for a facial scrub then you should consider the Microderm Scrub also sold at Trader Joe's.
How to Use Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub
- Apply a small amount of the scrub to damp skin.
- Massage gently in circular motions, focusing on rough areas.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Pat your skin dry with a towel to remove any excess oil.
For best results, use 2-3 times a week to maintain smooth, hydrated skin..
Top Tip
This will make your tub slippery due to the oils, so be sure to clean your tub well after each use.
Final Thoughts
Trader Joe's Lavender Salt Scrub offers excellent value for money, delivering exfoliation and hydration in a single product. While the lavender scent might be too strong for some, the overall experience is soothing and luxurious for most users. If you're looking for an affordable scrub that gets the job done, this is a solid choice.

I got a jar of this as a gift a while ago, but it has been sitting underneath my bathroom sink. I'm not a huge lavender fan, but I might try it anyway since it sounds like it works well. It is certainly cheaper than some of the other scrubs I have used. Thanks for the review!

Hey Paige! No problem! I hope you try it and let me know what you think of it.

It certainly did it's job, and left my skin feeling smooth and soft. I'm not a huge fan of the scent but it doesn't linger too long once you're out of the shower. My only gripe is that it almost left my skin too oily. I had to use bodywash after just to feel like I wasn't a huge greaseball!

Hey Paige! Thanks for getting back to me with your thoughts. I found that after towel drying that lifted a good amount of oil. Thanks again for checking in!

I really like this, especially the price point. It’s as good as those 3x the price! I happen to like the lavender and don’t mind the strong smell but it would be wonderful if they sold a variety of scents

Hey Debbie! I totally agree! I have a whole list of scents I would love to see added. Maybe we will see something around the holidays. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I too loved the BBW sugar scrub but this one from Trader Joe’s is pretty amazing. It doesn’t irritate my legs post shaving either!
