The pros: Â Trader Joe's Mango and Cream Ice Cream has phenomenal mango flavor which made me wish the dropped the plain part of this ice cream.
The cons: Cream Ice Cream is literally that. For me, that part of the ice cream was missing some vanilla flavor.
The verdict: Â I like it when the picture on a product matches the product that you actually bring home. In this case, the picture is a bit misleading. The Trader Joe's website makes it clear that this should be â…” mango ice cream and one-third sweet cream. The container I got was mostly mango ice cream and that is a good thing. This was featured in the June 2017 Fearless Flyer so I figured I would pick it up before it possibly disappears.
For $4.99 for a quart you are getting some of the best mango ice cream I've ever had. The mango is so very natural tasting. This isn't a sorbet either. It's definitely mango ice cream. My only gripe about this product is the sweet cream ice cream. It just doesn't add much here. I was wishing for a rich vanilla to compliment the delicious mango ice cream.
Overall, I liked this a lot. If they only sold the mango ice cream by itself. I just don't feel like the sweet cream ice cream really added anything here. This item is worth trying. I'm not sure I would buy this again before it possibly disappears. As a potentially seasonal item it was good.

Would I buy this again? Â I would love to just buy the frozen mango by itself. It was good, but I'm not sure my waistline can handle this being on my shopping list all the time.

Hey Susan! It's a seasonal product that has made an appearance for the last few summers. Hopefully it will be back next year
