Every now and again I pick things up and if I didn't have this blog, I would have passed over them. Thankfully I do have this blog, because unlike some of the other items I've tried recently, here is a hidden gem, if you have a sweet tooth.

Taste and review
Now, I'm no chocolate aficionado. But when something hits my palate I know what I like.
I like these.
Now, I didn't look at the back of the bag to see what I was getting. And when I poured a few into my hands I was taken back.
These are covered in powdered sugar.
Lots of it.
Black pants are ill-advised when consuming these. Trust me.
Despite looking like river rocks in the palm of my hand these were yummy.
With one exception: I wished they were in dark chocolate.
Despite that one wish, I had no problem having a serving or two of these. They managed to be salty, sweet, crunchy, and nutty all in each bite.
Within each chocolate is a toffee-coated pecan. This hits that sweet and salty mark. The milk chocolate doesn't add much here and the powdered sugar mutes the chocolate further.
Regardless, each bite is delicious.
For those calorie counting people out there, consider yourself warned: while the package says a serving is 4 pieces, I can't imagine how they measured that. My pieces ranged from small pebble-sized up to full river rock-sized. That's a huge variation (check out the pictures below).
Overall
If you aren't counting calories, then this is a solid bag to pick up. While I'm disappointed it isn't dark chocolate, it still has so many fabulous elements in each bite: nutty, sweet, salty, chocolatey, crunchy, smooth, and straight up delicious. Each bag will set you back $3.49.
Would I buy this again? While Trader Joe's Milk Chocolate and Honey Toffee Pecans won't be a regular purchase, they are delicious.

I had it as a sample which I asked the employee. I liked it! Agreed that using dark chocolate would tie the whole thing together. It like sugar on top of sugar. I mean honey, toffee, milk chocolate, and powered sugar. I'm thinking of chopping these up and add to cookie dough for a fun twist on chocolate chip cookies.

The name milk chocolate and hone toffee pecans is misleading...should be milk honey chocolate and pecan toffee....
