The pros:Â Trader Joe's Mini Cheese Crepes are new, seasonal, and are a bite sized snack or appetizer.
The cons: Seasonal and reminded me more of eating an omlet.
The verdict:
When Trader Joe's debuted their Chocolate Filled Crepes, I was in love. I convinced myself that box could be used for breakfast, lunch, dinner and obviously dessert. They were ooey and gooey and just a delight to eat if you are into sweets. When Trader Joe's debuted a savory crepe, I figured I would give them a whirl.
These are mini crepes. They are small enough to literally be finger sized. They are one bite, 20 come in a package, and are relatively easy to make. With some butter and a few minutes they were ready. When I made mine, I wasn't quite sure if I was being French or going full Ina Garten with the butter in the pan. I do hate it when they don't mention how much butter to melt to heat things like this up.
While I loved the chocolate crepes, I only liked these. After I had a couple, I thought they were good. However, the more I picked at them the more they began to remind me of a portable mini omlet. The egg flavor of the crepe was coming through far more than the cheese flavor was. The crepe was thick enough to prevent the Emmental cheese from leaking out, but did not overwhelm the amount of cheese. It was a buttery Swiss cheese flavor that seem to enhance the egg flavor of the crepe.
For $2.99 this was a try once and done. Perhaps they would be good to serve as a novelty, but I think there are better appetizers out there. This really reminded more more of a breakfast food item, than an appetizer but that did not hit me until I had three of these. If you are serving this to a large group, perhaps they might not notice the same thing, but for me there are better appetizers out there. In fact, here are all the appetizers I've tried from Trader Joes. While this wasn't bad in any specific way, this wasn't my favorite.

Would I buy this again? No, I would not buy Trader Joe's Mini Cheese Crepes again. While they were tasty, I much preferred the Chocolate Crepes over these. However, I do feel these would make a fun, completely different, and unexpected appetizer.

These might pair well with a savory crab dip.

Hey Rainey! Unfortunately, they were a seasonal item. To my knowledge they are unavailable. I wish I had better news to share.
