The pros: If you've been waiting for peppermint the way some people wait for pumpkin, then you are in luck because it's your time of year. Trader Joe's Peppermint Pretzel Slims is a really fun snack that mixes up chocolate covered pretzels.
The cons: Salt and mint are strange together but somewhat addicting. It may not be a flavor profile for everyone. Think of this like peppermint bark without the dark chocolate and salty crisp pretzels in their place.
The verdict: For $2.99 if you embrace the white chocolate with peppermint and salty pretzel combination then stock up, this is very clearly a seasonal flavor that won't be around for too long. Will I be buying this again? Yes. I love peppermint everything. This is quite honestly a flavor combination that I wasn't quite sure about. Chocolate and pretzels? Yes. White chocolate and pretzels with a peppermint candy topping? I bit overboard I thought. Truth be told, it's a combination that does work. The white chocolate was just sweet enough to balance out the saltiness of the pretzels. The peppermint didn't take away anything either. It added to the combination of salty-sweet by adding a bit of mint and some added texture.

Try it once, if you hate it bring it to work and share the good cheer, if you love it, you better stock up immediately. Winter season is not here forever. If you want a refreshing twist on the chocolate covered pretzel idea, but also love peppermint bark, you'll like this a lot. For some salty mint flavorings are less than an ideal combination. This is nonetheless worth a try as long as you can find it on the shelf.
