Review

Each box includes a dozen dainty frozen macarons in three colors: red (raspberry), white (vanilla), and blue (blueberry). Just like TJ's other macarons, these come frozen and need about 30 minutes at room temp to be ready for prime time.

The vanilla is that familiar one from the chocolate and vanilla duo. It's filled with a smooth, creamy vanilla center that delivers on flavor without being too sweet. The real standouts, though? Raspberry and blueberry. Both are packed with tart, jammy fillings that cut right through the sweetness and make you think, "Okay, Trader Joe's, I see you."

First, the colors are chef's kiss. They're festive without feeling like they were made by a firework. The red, white, and blue palette is both very USA and très français, which makes sense considering they're made in France. Love that little dual-citizenship moment.

The vanilla is a returning favorite. It's creamy, reliable, and mellow. It plays well with everything. Think of it as the peacemaker of the box.

But then come the fruity ones and suddenly vanilla's taking a back seat. Raspberry and blueberry are both jam-filled and have this glorious tartness that cuts through the almond shell and brings the perfect punch of flavor.

The shells themselves are what you'd expect from frozen macarons. They're not bakery-crisp, but they still deliver that chewy texture with just enough structure to feel like the real deal. If you're used to making them from scratch (or paying a fortune at a bakery), you'll notice the difference. But for under $6, you really can't complain. These are freezer gold.

FAQs about Trader Joe's Raspberry, Vanilla, and Blueberry Macarons

Below is a list of frequently asked questions about this product

Do I need to bake these?

Nope! They're frozen and ready to eat once thawed. Just give them about 30 minutes at room temperature.

Are these macarons gluten free?

Nope, these contain wheat in the ingredients.

How long do they last in the freezer?

They're best eaten within a few weeks for top texture, but they'll keep for a few months if sealed well.

Final Thoughts

These macarons may come from the freezer aisle, but they taste like they could've come straight from a bakery box in Paris. While the vanilla is classic and smooth, the raspberry and blueberry steal the show with their bright, tart jam centers. They're festive, tasty, and easy to serve, just another reminder that Trader Joe's knows how to throw a snack-sized party. Grab them while they're still in season. Your summer dessert game will thank you.
