Have you ever picked up a product and totally misread the labeling? I did with Trader Joe's Strawberry Fruit Spread with Natural Rose Flavor. You see, I originally read this product as Trader Joe's Strawberry Fruit Spread with Natural Rosé Flavor instead of what it really says which is "rose" meaning the flower.
Review and taste
I mean to be fair, there have been a few products with Rosé in it like Trader Joe's Organic Rose Vinaigrette. But most of the actual rose items have been limited to items for external use only like: the facial spray or the ever-popular rose lotion and oil.
Now, I love a good jelly and jam as much as the next person. If you aren't familiar with Trader Joe's jams, jellies, and fruit spreads, then they are something worth checking out. They do offer seasonal offerings, but their regular year round options are just as good.
As far as this being seasonal or a regular offering, I don't know which this is going to be. I've tried their reduced sugar option in strawberry (which is excellent by the way and I didn't miss the extra sugar either).
But in any case, the taste out of this jar is mostly strawberry. The texture is very smooth as it's a fruit spread and not a jam. The rose is super subtle. Any time you add a floral item (rose or lavender) to a food there is a margin of error.
It will either add a soft "what is that flavor" type of feeling. Or it will make you feel like you are eating dryer sheets.
Overall
I'm on my last jar of the seasonal Strawberry and Champagne fruit spread from the holiday set they offered this past year.
For $2.99 this isn't a bad option to try if you want to mix things up. If you enjoy fruit jellies on your sandwich, bread, and crackers this fruit spread just might be your jam.
Nothing major to complain about in this little jar.
Would I buy this again? Yes, I would buy Trader Joe's Strawberry Fruit Spread with Natural Rose flavor again.

My mom said that the jam brought her memories in Russia. In Russia they would pair fruit with rose. It's pretty yummy for sure.

I enjoy anything with rose water or rose flavoring and as soon as I opened the jar (after waiting a few weeks sitting in my pantry) I wanted to buy more but alas, it was only available for July and August and gone! So quick! I am sad, I hope they bring it back but I won't hold my breath.
