Review
Let's not sugarcoat it-because this juice certainly doesn't.
Trader Joe's To the Power of Seven Green Organic Juice Blend is what happens when your entire crisper drawer gets together and decides to stage an intervention. With kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, green apple, lemon, and ginger, this bottle is basically yelling "GET IT TOGETHER" at your insides-but, like, organically.
On first sip, you're hit with the green apple trying really hard to make friends. It's sweet but in a very "I'm the fun one!" kind of way. Then the rest of the gang shows up-kale and spinach with their earthy vibes, cucumber and celery adding that fresh-but-kind-of-like-lawn-clippings aftertaste, and finally ginger and lemon, who show up late but loud.
It's not bad, but it's not juice box by the pool material either. This is the juice equivalent of a green juice bootcamp: a little intense, a little vegetal, but you somehow feel healthier after drinking it-even if you chased it with a cookie.
Texture-wise, it's smooth and drinkable. No pulp, no grit, no sludge at the bottom of the bottle, which I appreciate. And the fact that it's shelf-stable means you can stash it for those moments when your body is crying out for nutrients-or you just need to undo the damage from last night's frozen pizza and wine pairing.
Would I drink this daily? No. But would I drink it after a weekend of living like a raccoon? Absolutely. It's not the best-tasting green juice I've ever had, but it gets the job done, and for the price, it's a solid choice if you want a convenient veggie hit without firing up the blender.
Just...don't expect it to taste like a spa day. It's more like your fridge guilt-tripped you into being responsible.
That being said, this post has garnered some of the most comments on this blog. So it has a fan base. In fact, this has shifted from a seasonal product to one that is sold all year long. If you are a fan of the "Power of" series from Trader Joe's, then look for the red juice if you love traditional juice the best.

I love this juice! They haven’t had it in stores since September though! I kept calling weekly to see if they had it back in stock yet, still no.

We don't have a Trader Joe's here or in Peoria Illinois I love the power of 7 juice. I only get to enjoy it when I visit Portland oregon

Love it! I even add more fresh ginger and a splash of lime. I’ll stock up before it disappears for the season!

I loved this drink. Sometimes I add additional spinach to get more greens. Beat green juice taste without the added sugars.

I was worried this would taste too vegetable-y and I was surprised by its sweet/tartness. I really love tart things, grapefruit, poms, plain greek yogurt etc.
I think this juice is approachable for a novice green juice drinker and may help parlay into true 'green' drinks. I'll admit the first time I tried it, it was the texture that put me off, as its kind of gritty, so I think it is an acquired taste. I drink 4-6 oz in the afternoons when I hit that 2-3pm slump and it gives me a good boost. (I've quit coffee after lunch.)

Love this juice as well. I don’t taste any of what the author mentioned. Its very smooth and tastes too good to me to believe it’s healthy in my opinion. But hey to each their own. Sad that some people just rate this so low and it is so cost effective too.

The Trader Joe's in Jenkintown, Pa, no longer carries the green formula. It returned for about a week and I noticed that the formula had changed. It was thinner and had extra pulp added. Now they don't carry any version of it. I felt better with the old formula and felt no improvements with the newer formula. What is going on?

Hey Gary! This is actually a seasonal item. I hope that helps!

Wow, it is sweet. Very unusual for a green juice. It's pleasant but I'm like you, I'd prefer a fresh juice.
