The hottest thing on social media is rainbow everything. It started with food. Now it's moved into a place where it belongs: flowers. Rainbow roses aren't new, but they are new to Stew Leonard's. I found myself stuck staring at the options. Stew Leonard's Rainbow Roses took my breath away without taking my wallet away. I brought them home to see how long they would last. Truth is, I don't think I've ever enjoyed a bunch of flower so much before. I can't help but stare at them. All the time. I know they don't occur naturally like that. But is doesn't matter. I love them and they are worth every penny of the $19.99 I paid for them. Here is how they held up:

The pros: Stew Leonard's Rainbow Roses are stunning, affordable and accessible if you live near a Stew Leonard's location. They lasted for a long time with frequent changes of water and occasional stem cutting.

The cons:  I'm hoping these stick around for a while. You'll have to deliver these yourself,  Stew's doesn't deliver. No fresh flower food attached (although I'm never 100% sure that helps).

The verdict:  For $19.99 you get a full dozen of some of the most whimsical roses you'll ever lay your eyes on. This is one of the best deals I've ever seen on roses like this. If you look at 1-800 Flowers, they retail for $59.99 (without a vase). They were fresh and fascinating to look at. If you are buying them for someone, be sure to deliver these in person (Stew's doesn't deliver). I'm sure whoever you might bring these to will immediately show them to everyone (or post it to everyone) and be the envy of all around them. I'm so buying these again.

Rainbow roses can mean many things at Stew Leonard's. Here are some of the varieties I took pictures of:

Here is the bunch that came home with me:

Are these naturally colored like this? Judging by the leaves, the answer is probably no. Also, Wikipedia seems to agree with me.

Now to see how they are holding up:

Day 9- starting to show their age. Three of the roses don't look very pretty any more.

Day 10- After this picture was taken, three roses were removed as they were past their prime.

Day 11- Just 5 left. Last picture. The end is pretty much near.

Would I buy this again? Yes, yes, and yes. Best $20 spent possibly ever. Again, always check for freshness before buying and change the water often. I would absolutely buy Stew Leonard's Rainbow Roses again. Perfect affordable luxury.
