I've made it a point this year to dive deeper into some of the most nondescript packaged beauty items that I've ever tried in my life. As a Sephora junkie (yes, I'm Rouge level bad) I own a shameful number of beauty products that have taken over the bathroom vanity and several drawers in that vanity as well.
Testing this out
And with certain monthly beauty subscriptions, I don't even need to go to the store. They send me things I didn't even know that I wanted. They've really got this marketing thing figured out.
But at Trader Joe's the closest thing we have to anything similar was the 12 Days of Beauty that disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared this past holiday season.
And what I learned is despite the packaging which makes these products blend into their environment in a grocery store, there are some real standouts that if you don't know are there...then you are missing out.
Trader Joe's knocked it out of the park for me recently with the addition of their Cleansing Body Oil and their Microdermabrasion Scrub it had me diving deeper into the aisle to figure out what I was missing.
So I came home with Trader Joe's All In One Facial Cleanser which is priced at $5.99.
Considering how much I spend on a good makeup remover, I consider this to be some possible cost-cutting measures.
But inside this pump bottle is a generous amount of cleanser which had a mild aroma that was reminiscent of blue Dawn. Nothing strong, but that is the closest analogy I can come up with.
Now, as for the promises on the bottle of it being a cleanser, exfoliant, tearless, and antioxidant-rich, let me take that list apart.
It does a great job of cleansing. It wasn't drying, but it wasn't moisturizing either. I was still reaching for a moisturizer after using this, but my skin did not feel stripped or parched either.
It didn't seem to be exfoliating, but then again I highly recommend the Microdermabrasion Scrub for that.
Yes, this seems like Tearless and Johnson and Johnson's Baby Shampoo. There was no eye burning as I washed this off of my face.
And as for the antioxidant-rich, I guess it is looking at the ingredients.
So overall, this is one product I'll be repurchasing when the bottle goes empty. And speaking of the bottle, I do love the pump design rather than having it come out of a tube.
Overall
It handled makeup removal really well. And more importantly, I was able to handle the occasional removal of mascara that sometimes runs down your face after using an eye makeup remover.
Would I buy this again? Trader Joe's All In One Facial Cleanser is a yes for me. One less overpriced product will be out of my cart at Sephora. However, if you aren't near a Trader Joe's it is available through third-party sellers on Amazon.
Did you try it? Let me know what you think in the comments section!

I love finding inexpensive skin care that works well. I recently emptied my morning face wash but had a tube of Tula waiting so after that I will be checking this out. Thanks for the review!

Hey Jess! I'm totally the same way. I have so many tubes sitting around, but this is pretty solid especially when compared to the expensive one. Thanks for sharing and stopping by!

I’m 73 and absolutely love this cleanser. I use it twice to get off all my makeup and then use serum and moisturizer.
