The pros:  Trader Joe's Bite Size Everything Crackers are a light and flavorful cracker combination.

The cons: If you are like me and think that caraway seeds are culinary kryptonite, they are present here.

The verdict:  Confession time: I'm German-Irish in terms of ethnicity. But, every March 17th people seem to think that I naturally would enjoy Irish Soda Bread.  I do not. I have not had one that I enjoy yet. It's the presence of caraway seeds that for my palate is no good. There aren't too many foods that I don't care for. Caraway seeds make the list.

Now, when I saw they were in there I was hopeful that maybe perhaps they would not play a major role. Otherwise, that would be my form a culinary kryptonite.

I'm happy to report that these only play a supporting role in these crackers and do not reach the magnitude of Irish Soda bread. These crackers are perfect for snacking, dipping, or any other use where you want something way more than plain crackers.

Now, the name might have you thinking of the more popular seasoning blend, Everything but the Bagel Seasoning. The flavor here has some similarities, but the ratios are different. With the obvious addition of caraway seeds.

These crackers are light, airy, but will go through a thick dip like Trader Joe's Garlic Spread. I wouldn't push them too much past the consistency of cream cheese otherwise you will be looking at breakage. These are about the size of a a Cheez It cracker. So they aren't quite as big as say, Trader Joe's Golden Round Crackers. So save these for dipping. Let a bigger cracker serve as an appetizer.

For $2.49 these are a great item to reach for if you need a break from plain crackers. Thanks again to Dag for suggesting this!

Would I buy this again? Yes, I would buy Trader Joe's Bite Size Everything Crackers again. They were flavorful and went beyond just plain. Best of all they kept the use of caraway seeds in check.

I am so glad that you liked them. I absolutely love them. In the past I have found that products labeled "everything bagel -ish" are often stretching the everything part. More times than not there's only a scant sprinkling of seeds, garlic, onion etc. These are so good whether they are plain, dipped or topped. The ultimate cracker in my opinion.

Hey Dag! I think they are hoping to ride the success of the Everything but the Bagel seasoning. I think it was a stretch in terms pf flavor, but it wasn't bad. Thanks again for the suggestion!

They're cute little guys, and you can decide how many you can allow yourself for a certain number of snack calories since they are conveniently ten calories per cracker. They look interesting to me. A good change from my favorite Original Triscuit.

Hey Judie! Figuring out how many to have is difficult. And yes, I have to pull out the number I want and make it a point to put the box back in the closet. It was a nice change to triscuit. Thanks as always for stopping by!

I also hate caraway seeds! I only eat rye bread if it's the "unseeded" variety. And I do love Irish soda bread- so the kind I buy must not be authentic because I've never had it with caraway seeds. I love your posts, I always want to go to TJ's after! 🙂

Hey Paige! Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't love caraway seeds. If you get a chance to try it, I'd love to know what you think! As always, any time you wish to share your thoughts you are always welcome to share them here.
