The pros:Â Trader Joe's Burrata is mozzarella with a thick ricotta like center that is creamy and delicious. This product is reasonably priced for burrata.
The cons: Â If you eat one ball it's just over 350 calories. Otherwise, if you are more portion controlled you'll have to find another way to store your leftovers other than in the package.
The verdict:  Burrata is a real treat. It's not something you are likely to eat everyday. It makes for a fancy dish. If you've never had burrata, it is like a mozzarella balloon with a creamy ricotta like center. Yes, the picture on the top of the tub is pretty accurate when you cut into it.
For $4.99 you are getting 2 cheese balls that look more like balloons. Each ball is approximately four ounces. The cheese itself is creamy, dreamy and oh so good. You can elevate it with just a touch of seasonings like salt, pepper, olive oil and some basil. I chose to have mine with those seasonings and some heirloom tomatoes for a colorful salad.

Overall, I'd buy this again. It's a real treat. I'd recommend giving it a try if you haven't done so already.

Ok, I now have to get that. My husband would eat it straight. I do wonder, you wrote, “Once cooked it looks like…” how did you cook it?

Now, you can cook it on a pizza, but I'd agree with your husband to eat is straight. Sorry the cooked part was a typo. I'll correct it. Thanks for pointing that out. It's June and I'm super teacher tired.
