The pros:Â Trader Joe's Mango Chili Chicken has crispy chicken that is better without the sauce.
The cons: Sauce was neither really spicy nor sweet. It was just there. It needed to be much thicker are more concentrated. I didn't care for it. Mango was mushy.
The verdict: For $4.99 there are better choices in the freezer aisle such as Trader Joe’s Vegan Chicken-less Mandarin Orange Morsels, Trader Joe’s Beef and Broccoli, or Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken. All of those were super flavorful in ways this was not.

My final thoughts on this? I won't be buying Trader Joe's Mango Chili Chicken again. I'll stick with the other standbys in the freezer aisle. The sauce was this dishes downfall and there are too many other good options to choose from. Good food is super flavorful, this just wasn't, and that's a shame. I was looking for something to really make my taste buds tingle, but this wasn't it.

I always thought about buying this, I'm glad I didn't! I've had a few hit n misses at Trader Joe's! I'm going to try the other mandarin chicken you did like! Thanks for the info!

We don't have Trader Joe's where I live but this looks delicious. We have several Aldi stores which is somewhat similar.
