The pros:Â Trader Joe's Mango Taffy is mango candy that is done right. It's priced right too.
The cons: Â This is a seasonal item, so if you enjoy it, buy it while it lasts. This is also a small bag which may disappear quickly in your household.
The verdict: Â Trader Joe's tends to go wild on certain flavors: Fall tends to be pumpkin, March was coffee, and summer seems to bring Mangoes to Trader Joe's. This was around last summer and made a reappearance recently. Trader Joe's does offer another variety: Trader Joe's Salt Water Taffy. While it was good, I wasn't in love with the all the flavors. There were some hits and some misses. With Trader Joe's Mango Taffy you are only getting one flavor: mango.
Fruit flavored candy has the potential of tasting very artificial. That is not the case here. The texture here is good, as it is neither too hard nor too soft. It is pliable and comes out of its wax paper wrapper easily. This is nice and chewy. For $0.99 you get a three ounce bag. My biggest disappointment is that they don't sell a bigger bag. If you are a mango fan or a taffy fan you won't go wrong by giving these a try. As for me, these did not last more than 24 hours. My husband and I both enjoyed snacking on these.

Would I buy this again? Â Yes, this is inexpensive and has great mango flavor. If I remember, I'll pick up a few more of these before they disappear for the season.
