The pros: Trader Joe's Mini Mint Ice Cream Mouthfuls are about the size of a Trader Joe's Joe Joe's but with ice cream filling in the center.
The cons:Â Cookies seemed a bit soggy and there wasn't quite as much mint flavor as I would have liked.
The verdict: Â
If we were to go to an ice cream store together, aside from soft serve, my choice ice cream is always mint. Mint Chip, Peppermint, Candy Cane ice cream. I love them all. This was the first mint ice cream I can honestly say, I did not like.
I recently tried and adored Trader Joe's Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches. They were everything advertised: sublime. They were large and filling. They reminded me of getting ice cream from the ice cream man as a kid. However, these reminded me of a bad attempt with a not good cookie and a really not good mint ice cream. Two mediocre products mixed together only works well with adult beverages. Otherwise, you'll need at least one to shine. And nothing here shined.
A good sandwich cookie needs to be able to stand up to the fact that ice cream can make the cookie soggy. Soggy is what this cookie was. In terms of size, these are the size of a Trader Joe's Joe Joes. They were about the size of a double stuff Oreo once you added in the ice cream. The ice cream was barely minty. There was nothing standout about it at all. If I had a scoop of that ice cream I probably wouldn't have finished it. While the box is nice and green which gives you the impression that this will be a divine mint bite. It barely registered on my palate as minty. And the ice cream was white. I know color and flavor don't always go hand in hand but psychologically these should be green. Oh and those chips mentioned on the box? Almost non-existent.
You can have two for 120 calories. While this seems like good portion control, to me, it did not seem like a good use of calories. It was portion controlled for me. I ate about two of these and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the box.
For $3.79 you get a box of twelve edible ice cream cookies. They were nothing special. They were edible. I'd rather purchase Trader Joe's Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches any day and only have four well done ice cream sandwiches rather 12 marginally edible ones. I adore mint ice cream, but these I did not really enjoy. It's ok to pass on these.

Would I buy this again? I probably would have liked Trader Joe's Mini Mint Ice Cream Mouthfuls more if I hadn't tried Trader Joe's Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches first. However, since I did try those first, I would absolutely rather have the Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches any day over these. There is no comparison between the two products with one being completely sublime and the other ones being a mediocre mint mouthful.

Trader Joe's Mini Mint Mouthfuls Ice cream sandwiches were perfect for me. Just the right size for getting that taste of sweet while working hard on weight. The mint taste was also just right. Very pleased with this product and I will buy again.
