Trader Joe's has some awesome dressings. But I don't think I can count this among them.

Taste and review

Here is a product that says dressing but begs to be used for anything but salad. In this bottle is a really good sauce with a kick.

I love sriracha, but I prefer my sriracha sauce, not from Trader Joe's. I like Huy Fong's in all of its fiery peppery glory.

Out of the bottle, this looks like Thousand Island dressing minus the pickles. However, if you think those two taste anything like you are in for a rude awakening.

This bottle is way more sriracha than ranch-tasting. In fact, a closer look at the ingredient list shows it should taste more like ranch.

An even closer look at the ingredients also reveals that this actually doesn't have many ingredients in common with Trader Joe's Sriracha Sauce. The heat here is coming almost all from the cayenne pepper.

And this sauce has some kick. This is more medium in heat. It has a nice flavor.

But on a salad, not so much but I'll chalk that up to personal preference. So what have I been using this on? To dip artichoke hearts or even on burgers. Anywhere where a nice kick would be appreciated or something that can be dipped.

Overall

For $2.99 it is a reasonably priced item that could be made at home. Yup, ranch dressing and sriracha to taste and you'll get something close to this. But at least you can control the heat.

Would I buy this again? Yes, Trader Joe's Organic Sriracha Ranch Dressing was good. I liked this better as a dip.

I read your reviews always, and frequently am pretty much on the same page, but this time I TOTALLY agree with every word! I can't even remember if I ever tried it on a salad, but as a dip it's just wonderful! My favorite? Panko breaded eggplant, cooked in a hot convection oven and dipped in this lovely sauce!
