The pros: Â Trader Joe's Pizza 4Formaggi is a decent freezer pizza that can be ready in about 10 minutes.
The cons: Â The crust seemed bland.
The verdict:  For $3.99, you get a pizza that can easily be divided into 4 slices. The cheese blend here is the star. When the pizza came out of the oven, it looked just like a typical NYC style pizza. The cheese here may not be what you'd expect: Edam, Asiago, Pecorino and Grana Padano. They were quite tasty when combined. What was missing was the stringiness that usually comes from a mozzarella or other softer cheese. The sauce was a typical red sauce. It was a bit thick, but not bad. I could have used a little bit more of a kick. The low point here was the crust. It was nice and crisp. The taste is the disappointment. It was very plain. It reminded me of eating a saltine cracker. In fact the ingredient list confirms that there is no salt in the crust which it desperately needed. Overall, I'm not sure I'd repurchase this. It was good, but not great.

Would I buy this again? This is a maybe for me. I liked this, but didn't love it. I thought the crust was a bit bland. If they could have merged the flavor from Trader Joe's Pepperoni Pizza and the cheese of Trader Joe's Pizza 4Formaggi, I think it would have been a winner. This was ok, but didn't amaze me.

I really appreciate that you include photos of the box, nutrition info, and especially ingredients lists. I usually cook from scratch, but I do sometimes enjoy the convenience of buying pre-made frozen foods. My husband is allergic to garlic. Major one, huh? I noticed that both this pizza and the pepperoni one you highlighted in another post are garlic free. I'll tell my hubby that so that when we're at Trader Joe's we can buy them. I can always doctor up the 4 Formaggi, if needed.
