Trader Joe's Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix

My Mom makes the best pumpkin bread (according to me at least). When she makes it, she makes it in such a vast quantity that the recipe actually calls for an entire can of pumpkin puree. She only makes it during the Fall only. Second place would have to go to this box of pumpkin bread. While not quite as simple as Trader Joe's Pumpkin Spice Scones; this is still pretty easy.

I opted to make one loaf of pumpkin bread. Be advised that if you are going to make pumpkin bread in a loaf pan, cooking time is about an hour. Waiting for this to cool takes a while too.

However, your patience will be rewarded with a slightly dense bread. If you've never had pumpkin bread before then this is not your typical type of yeasty bread. It has a cake-like and slightly crumbly texture. It's like the texture of a muffin, just bigger.

It had a nice spice combination with the familiar flavor of pumpkin.

There is nothing overwhelming about the pumpkin flavor. It's just a nice warm fall flavor. If you see these and you like them, pick up a few because this too is a seasonal item and won't be around forever.

For $2.99 it's a reasonable deal. The next time I'm at Trader Joe's, I'll have to make room in my cabinet for a few of these. 'Tis the season because there are lots of awesome seasonal items that show up between now and New Years'.

This is a seasonal item, so if you love it you'll want to stock up. If you discovered this fact too late then you can always see about picking one up through third-party sellers on Amazon.
