The pros:  With milk, Trader Joe's Strawberry Raspberry Oatmeal is a tasty and hearty breakfast. Best at room temperature. Good flavor and balance. Subtle spice of cinnamon. Good amount of fiber to make you feel full.
The cons: Â Could have been more generous with the strawberries and raspberries. I wish it had a lid, so if I need to come back to it. Something you can make from home with a few pantry items. If you have allergies, this has a long list of items it has traces of.
The verdict: Â For $1.29, Trader Joe's Strawberry Raspberry Oatmeal is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I made mine with milk and it was tasty. It was tastiest at room temperature after all the milk had absorbed and become creamy.
It's single serving, so if you are on the run, it's something you can grab and go and have a healthy breakfast in about a minute. Where I'm a bit negative on this is I truly feel you can make this on a much cheaper scale.
Trader's Joe's does sell the freeze dried fruits which if chopped finely enough can be added to any instant oatmeal. Economics of this aside, the flavor was very good with a good balance of sweetness from brown sugar already pre-packaged, spice from the brown sugar and a hint of acidity from the freeze dried fruit.
Once I stirred this product, it wasn't as fruity as the pictures would have you believe. Most of the freeze dried fruit settled to the top. It's absolutely worth a try, it's a great grab and go, but if you are going to make it a habit, you may want to consider getting some instant oats, brown sugar, and some of Trader Joe's freeze dried fruits (chopped finely of course) and make it yourself.

Would I buy this again? Trader Joe's Strawberry Raspberry Oatmeal is one of the better oatmeals I've had. I've had Quaker Instant Oatmeal and I wasn't crazy about it each and every time. This, as is it cooled to room temperature became more enjoyable. Keep in mind, I made this with milk and not water, so I can't comment on the flavor it would have at that point.
