The pros:Â Trader Joe's Sweet Potato Fries (Frites) are crispy and delicious from bag to oven. They have a crisp outside and a tender inside. The flavor on these was really good. Most fries are (mostly) evenly cut to ensure even cooking. Considering these are coming from a freezer bag, they are pretty good.
The cons: Â Bag of Trader Joe's Sweet Potato Fries is not resealable. No microwave allowed on this product. You might want to add your own seasoning here as these are just plain sweet potato fries.
The verdict: Â For $1.99 you get a bag of fries or frites that can easily be shared among two or three people comfortably. I know the package indicates there are 5 servings in the bag, however, fries are addicting and this is no different. The fries are already fried. I didn't see the need to fry them again. Out of the oven, they were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.
Even slightly burnt they were tasty. If you haven't tried sweet potato fries, then you are missing out. This is a welcome break from regular potato fries and in my opinion, happens to be more flavorful. On a nutritional level, you are getting more nutrients because of the sweet potatoes. Overall, I'd buy this again and intend on keeping a bag in the freezer. They make a wonderful side dish.
