If we could keep one of the recent coffee flavored new products around, Trader Joe's Vietnamese Coffee Flavored Caramels is the one that gets my vote (ok, and Trader Joe's Sumatra Coffee Brownies). It's coffee flavor without being gritty. You can also have this product without getting a buzz from the caffeine. This is the application of coffee that just works.
If you are unfamiliar with Vietnamese coffee, here is what you need to know: it's strong and it's very sweet from the sweetened condensed milk. While this product is not strong in the coffee department, it's sweet and it just works.
The pros: Â Trader Joe's Vietnamese Coffee Flavored Caramels are sweet, and have a nice balance between the coffee and other flavors.
The cons: Â Might be too sweet for some. Might even be better with a touch of salt (but that's clearly my own sweet and salty preference).
The verdict:  For $2.99 you get about 30 decent sized  candies in each tub of Trader Joe's Vietnamese Coffee Flavored Caramels. The wrappers on each of the candies somehow did not stick to the candies. When you touch each caramel, they are very soft. So soft that they will yield to just about any pressure. These caramels are soft to chew on.
When you chew on them the coffee flavor is present without being overwhelming. It's there as a compliment. If you've never tried Vietnamese coffee, it's quite strong and sweet. This nails the sweet aspect, but isn't too assertive in the coffee aspect.
Sweetened condensed milk makes the list of ingredients so it's true to its name. There is a slight coconut flavor here, but all the elements play well here. Overall, it's well done and I'd buy another package of this.

Would I buy this again? Â Yes. Their webpage makes this sound like a seasonal product, but it's one that would be nice in the caramel line up. If they could add a salted version of this, that would be nice too.

I did like these, though I wish the coffee flavor was stronger. Have you tried the Joe's Dark Coffee Squares? Those were more to my taste.

I agree the caramels could have tasted more of coffee. The dark coffee squares were very coffee forward. Here I my review on the squares: https://www.becomebetty.com/2017/03/21/trader-joes-dark-coffee-squares/
