The pros:  Stew Leonard's Garlic Bread is super convenient, has the nutritional information, bread was very fresh

The cons:  Under buttered (margarine) and not quite enough garlic

The verdict:  For $3.29 you get a 12 ounce loaf of Italian bread that only requires you to put it in the oven for 10 minutes. If time and getting dinner on the table is your number one priority for you, then yes this is good to pick up. It's not a terrible value for the money as you get a nice sized loaf which is very fresh. Where I was disappointed was the amount of margarine spread on this. This will have a just the finest of layers of margarine spread. There was enough garlic on here to make it pleasant, but it was nothing that "wowed" me. It's something to grab on the go. What do I suggest? Pick up a loaf of bread at Stew Leonards, buy some good quality butter (preferably European butter like Kerrygold) chop your own garlic and bake it yourself. If you really are pressed for time, then absolutely reach for it. It's good. Can you make better yourself? Most likely.

Would I buy this again? For me, this is a no. I'll buy their bread and add my own garlic and butter.

I loves me my garlic bread! And I'm kinda thankful for your critical slant on Stew Leonards garlic bread. Otherwise I would have been online later tonight, shipping that stuff to yours truly. And God knows I have done plenty nuff business on Amazon already! 🙂

If you want a cheesy cheat treat, try some minced garlic with butter on Hawaiian sweet rolls. Add salt and pepper for shits and giggles, and drum up those squares until they are crispy creamy crunchy in their goodness bites.

Hey Marco! That sounds like a fantastic suggestion. Now I'll have to go get those Hawaiian sweet rolls. Yum.
