The pros: Trader Joe's Italian Breadsticks with Olive Oil are light and airy. These are perfect for snacking.

The cons:  If you like very dense breadsticks, you might not like these. Some of mine came out of the package broken. The problem was addressed by immediately eating all of them first.

The verdict:  For $1.49 you get a box containing over a dozen breadsticks. These are no ordinary bread sticks. These are made in Italy and if you look at the ingredients this is a back to basics type of recipe. Bread at it's most basic level should contain flour, yeast, salt and water.

This adds a bit of complexity by adding olive oil and two types of flour. What you get here is a bit unexpected. I've had bread sticks before. I've had the ones capable of breaking teeth. I've had ones that are terribly dense as well.

What you are getting here is a light airy crisp bread stick. They look like miniature Italian loaves, but there is no soft center. Eating them plain they were divine. With a dip or wrapped in cheese or meat they would be awesome as well. I'd buy these again. They are a blank canvas of possibilities beyond eating them plain.

Would I buy this again?  Yes. Trader Joe's Italian Breadsticks with Olive Oil is a tasty snack and has potential to create a lot of fun appetizer combinations. Can also be something fun to eat a nice dip with.
