An opened box of Trader Joe's Sparkling Black Tea with Peach Juice with one can out

If I had one drug of choice it would be Diet Coke. To me there is nothing quite like the carbonation and the artificial sweetness that doesn't make me go, "yuck." Is it healthy for me? Probably not, but we all have our vices. But in truth, my vice probably is really carbonation.

The taste

Because I can go weeks without Diet Coke. But I'll need a seltzer instead.

I just love fizzy things.

So when I see a new bubbly drink, I have to have it.

And this won hands down has the prettiest packaging in the land. I did walk past it a couple of times because with black packaging it doesn't draw your eye in the same way a whole shelf of brightly colored drinks does.

Truth be told, I probably would have missed it on the shelf had I not had someone suggest I try it.

Well aside from pretty packaging, this product is just ok. If you've ever had Celestial Seasonings Country Peach Passion, then this is pretty close.

With the addition of 15 calories.

The key difference here is that this isn't peach-flavored tea. This has peach juice in it. Just not much of it.

A peach tea will yield more peach flavor here. And if you are somehow hoping or Snapple levels of sweetness, you'll be disappointed.

Each can is a reasonable amount of calories even though they are small. But it is very much black tea with a hint of peach.

And then there is the price. It was $3.99 for four cans. A bit steep (pun intended) in my mind for a can of just over 8 ounces.

Overall

Would I buy this again? While this was pleasant enough and didn't have many bad qualities, it didn't wow me. So I won't buy Trader Joe's Sparkling Black Tea with Peach Juice again.

Interesting that it is made in Vietnam. I wonder maybe some booze can improve this? Or even mixing with lemonade? Grilled peaches mixed with some of the tea.

Everybody raves about this..so I went to Trader Joe’s and they were sold out..the clerk told me it is sooo good..so I called another Trader Joe’s and person said they have it in stock and she loves it..so I bought two packages..then I tried it and thought “meh”..I can’t see what the hype is for it..high price, tiny cans, barely any peach flavor and just not much of any real flavor..I would not buy it again..

I LOVE this tea but I drink black tea, typically chai tea. I say that because I like the small flavor of peach. My Trader Joe's is sold out too

It’s perfection! The black tea is softened by the delicate touch of peach with a mini caffeine jolt. Just what I want with lunch. The box makes an adorable gift box later.

Loved it. It’s perfect for me fizzy and not too sweet. Normally I can’t drink regular tea it doesn’t sit well at all in my tummy. But so far not a issue. I am going back later to grab more before it’s all gone

I have no way of testing, but here is an estimate from the USDA: https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/173227/nutrients
