The pros:  With Trader Joe's Joyous Joe you are getting to try four seasonal varieties of coffee without committing to the entire huge canister of coffee. This would make a cute stocking stuffer or gift idea for the coffee lover in your life.

The cons:  They should make one for people who hate/dislike/loathe/abhor/can't stand flavored coffee. It should be like Trader Joe's Chocolate Passport but with different origins of coffee.

The verdict:  For $7.99 you get try out all the winter seasonal flavors or gift someone a pretty cool coffee set assuming they like flavored coffee. My thoughts on the flavors are posted below the pictures.

Here is the visual rundown of what you can expect and my final thoughts are below the pictures.

If you enjoy coffee, especially flavored coffee this maybe something worth picking up before you can't find it anymore. Perhaps there is a flavored coffee lover in your life who would appreciate this affordable set.

Peppermint Mocha reminded me of a Starbucks product of the same name. That means I was not looking forward to trying this. I braced myself for disappointment and not liking this. I personally don't like flavored coffee for the most part. I've always found them to taste very artificial in a bad way. This was not the case here. The flavor of peppermint was very subtle. This was like drinking regular coffee with a slight drop of mint. It was good, I would actually consider buying a can of this.

The Wintery blend smells the most of regular coffee with notes of peppercorn, and very subtle cinnamon and even more subtle clove. If you do not typically enjoy flavored coffee because of the artificial and sometimes over powering nature of the coffee then this might be a good middle ground. While the spices are present, they are not overpowering and there is a slight finish of cinnamon. I would consider buying the full sized container.

The peppermint mocha smells like the exact same thing you would get in Starbucks. The smell of peppermint is there as is the smell of espresso.
